UWAZURUIKE MOURNS WITH GHANA GOVT. OVER DEATH OF KOFFFI ANNAN

LEADER of Biafra Independence Movement and the Movement for Actualization  of Sovereign state of Biafra (BIM – MASSOB ), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, yesterday joined world leaders and all other peace - loving  people of the world to mourn with the people and government of Ghana over the demise of the former Secretary – general of the United Nations ,UN, Mr. KOFFI ANNAN.
Chief   Ralph Uwazuruike recalled the very crucial role of Mr. Annan especially on November 1st1999, when MASSOB submitted the Biafra Bill of Rights to the world body.
In a press statement signed by the Biafra Director of Information, Mazi Chris Anierobi Mocha, Uwazuruike prayed that God in His infinite mercy will grant his gentle soul an eternal rest.
He further explained that in its Biafra Application to be admitted, registered or treated as the case may be, as unrepresented Nation, having denounced our Nigerian Nationality, Mr. Annan played important role as Biafra was granted an observer status.
Uwazuruike also recalled that, it was on the strength of the Observer status that he was released after the intervention of the former UN scribe at the summit of the organization of African union (now AU) leaders in year 2000, where he was briefly arrested and detained by the Togolese Gendarme.
